Is there one?
I know there are 'shims' on the door post part of the hinge, but I can't remember if there was anything to go between the hinge and the door. I can't see anything on my dismantling pictures. It's knagging me because it just doesn't seem right to bolt the hinge directly on to the new paint work on the door.

Yes, there is a plastic shim between the hinge and the door.
It is different to the hinge to bulkhead one as it doesn't have the square cut-outs for the captive-nuts (it has round holes instead) and it is flat (there is no lip).

On the pillar side there is a gasket (with square holes as above). On the door side there are a number of shims, the amount needed varies but they should make the door flush with the pillar.

Cheers, RA. That's great. I haven't set up the body before, so knowing what the shims are there to achieve is perfect.

Mwc1898 is the shim between hinge and door, 347369 is between the door and the pillar. Hope that helps!

Spot on bluedog333, I'd found 347369 for the door pillar, but couldn't find the part number for the door side. Magic. :D
