Hill descent

Yes it's that old chestnut again, the "3 Amigos" but a different slant on it this time.ABS and Traction Control seem to be OK it's just the Descent Control Light. Select low box and DC switch :- doesn't work and continuous chime sounds. Anybody got a clue or do I have to visit the garage to plug in the fault reader? I would be extremely grateful for any advice.

Sounds like it electronically doesn't know it's in low range

Ist step, put it on a diagnostic,
someone else on Landyzone near you may be able to help, or buy one, the cheaper brands like Foxwell are pretty good, i use mine lots, or, yes, take it to a garage,
but take what they say with a pinch of salt as I know through experience sadly they will not always get it right and may try to use it to lure you in to get them to do more work for you. There are of course others who are not like that at all. It took me a while to find one like that.
