I emigrated from Toronto, Canada to the UK; 2 years ago (end of May, 2006).
I enjoy the countryside here in the Chilterns, though NOT the terribly narrow roads here, but I've adapted. Hey, it beats winding up in the ditch! Oops! No ditch! <sheepish grin>
Hmmm.. if I think *I have a challenge, I'm thinking of you Land Rover lovers! :)

In the next couple of days or so I shall have purchased my 3rd UK car, a 1999 (V reg) Peugeot 406 HDi 110, and my first diesel car here since owning a 1980 VW Rabbit in Toronto (before they were named Golf in North America).
Naturally I am also very interested to learn about the feasibility of running it on biodiesel and/or veggie oil. Not such a straightforward issue, it seems, especially with the newer HDi (high pressure) technology used in more recent diesel engines.
But it WOULD be lovely to be able to take advantage of the substantial cost reduction, not to mention the satisfaction of using a much more ecologically friendly fuel.
