Hello all,
I have a 2003 Freelander TD4 and I'm having some issues.
When driving I have noticed that when I put foot down the revs will run high but no pick up. This seems to do it when going up hill...like the gear is slipping.
I have done the following check:
While driving down the road in 3rd gear, put the car in 2nd gear, then let out the clutch. If the RPMs of the engine don't immediately go up, it may be time to replace the clutch.
Someone said it is the clutch...others said flywheel...I really don't know.
It feel like clutch is down and high revs when it comes up against it....
I have noticed that the gear change into 1st is a little stiff....
