high level rear brake light

hi guys havent been on for a while, had trouble free motoring!!!! im looking at fitting the tailgate brake light(the higher one built into the trim) and before i buy it does anyone know if its a simple case of plug and play? mine obviously didnt come with it from the factory and wondering if the wiring is already there. If its a case of getting it plugged in to have the settings turn it on with the becm then its not worth the money at the moment.

im pretty sure there is no extra setting to turn on - dont have my rovacom to hand at the moment.

im not sure the wiring will be there though if you don't have the light already though. easiest way to know is to just pop off the trim and take a look.

Hi, I did the same to mine a short while ago, mine is a 1995 v8 and the wiring was there, just plug it in.

The same as Carl, mine already had the wiring there so just plug and play.

Remove the flap and look for the connector, then just install about 15min job.

I'm guessing my white 1995 dse didn't come with the center brake light as my blue 1995 dse hasn't got one, but its had a new upper tail gate fitted and the light works (well some of it) as the prevous owner didn't bother painting it the right colour first I can't see them going to much effort to get the brake light to work.
