I have just bought 1991defender 90 can i fit canvas top on ( i need some rust sorted on corners of body and obviously have to take top off but needto continue to use despite the weather) thamks Jane

Welcome. An early 90. Yes but only if the body (the tub) has the cleats and Hook's required to secure the canvass tilt. Also assuming that you have the sticks/ frame/ bolts and canvass cover. Unless you've got all that forget it and just get it fixed. Exactly where is the rust?

On corners behind driver side and off side, also on metal edge between top and bottom, a metal stip of about 2 inches completely worn through in some places-
Going back to canvas top issue, i do not have rods etc, are they unobtsinable or just a pain on the butt to source?
