Hi I have been reading this forum for a while now and thought it was about time I joined. I am a long time Landy fan having had two series 111 Land Rovers and I am now on my second Disco a 300tdi. I bought the Disco as I love the practicality and the comfort compared to the series 111's. The Disco was bought as standard six months ago, it had four weeks m.o.t. and no tax but it drove well and most of the electrics worked. The first job was to contact a great friend of mine who is a dab hand with a welder, after a three day weld fest we had sorted the rear floor and patched the inner arches, I then changed the gearbox oil for some MTF 94, topped up the diffs, changed the engine oil e.t.c and sorted the electrics, central locking, rear windows and numerous other minor things then waxoyled everything underneath the car. I then took it for it's m.o.t and it passed with only two minor advisory's, light misting on a damper and a worn tyre. I have had no problems since then (touch wood) cheers Ken
