Hello and welcome
Thanks for the warm welcome. Need advice: my Land Rover Defender 90 200 tdi. When I accelerate, there's this grinding noise, more rapid when I increase speed, grinding noise consistent with turning motion. Alternator, steering belts changed a few months ago, noise stopped for awhile, occur recently. Where do I tell the mechanic to begin checking for the fault, beginning with the lowest to higher cost, simple to complicated work involved? (Workshops in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia are out to empty one's wallet most of the time.)

Start a new thread in the Defender section and try and explain if it increases with engine revs, wheel speed or turning circle.
