Hi joined the forum and thought it was about time to say hello. I brought a 90 2.5td just over a week ago and realised the following day the engine had had it!!! Spent the last week checking out all possible options and I'm convinced the best way to go is get a 200tdi dropped in it. Got a quote for the engine with all the bits needed for £450 and am perfectly happy with that but what is a fair price to pay for someone to do the swap for me? had a quote of £650 and would like to know if that's reasonable as I have no idea. Also I'm pretty practical and like to think got a bit of common sense, how difficult to do the swap myself? I have read several accounts of others who have done it and it does seem I may have a chance. Thanks for listening and any comments greatly appreciated. Mark
