Hello,
Newbie here but had L Rovers since '62.
Got my current one (9 seat 110) new in 2005, and it will probably last longer than I will! So I won't be buying another.

Main dealer chipped the engine when brand new and since then I've had new Land Rover Discovery transfer box gears fitted, straight through front ex pipe and removed the cooling fan.

Only repairs (Apart from servicing) have been replacing some wiring in the top of the engine? And having the exhaust manifold skimmed after it warped and snapped a screw.
At the last service 2 weeks ago I had new brake Pistons and pads fitted, also had new rear shocks as the original factory ones kept chewing the bottom rubbers up.
The heated front screen doesn't work anymore, nor does the headlamp leveller, but I can live without those. Total miles for this TD5 is 135,000.
Been a very good run about for an old man and a pleasure every time I drive it.
Best regards,Ken.

A little switch on the panel that controls something that moves the headlamp beams up or down!
Ken.
