Hi to all from West Midlands!

Hi all,

Just to introduce myself, I'm Simon, and I'd say thank you all for having such a great forum! I have been watching/reading with interest.

I've owned a Lightweight, Disco 200, 300, Series 2a and now (very recently) a Defender but until now have took little time in maintaining them personally, as my time has been so full (work-wise) and also I never really had the confidence to start taking things apart and fixing them myself till now.

There we go. I've been a subscriber to LRO for years and have always admired the projects there, and having owned my Defender for two weeks I'm pleased to be an owner despite the minor ailments etc. I would like to learn from the talented folks here and any advice i can give in my specialties ( mainly guitar playing) I will be happy to pass on!
