I've had my 90 Defender TD5 for just over a year now and loving every minute of it apart from the odd breakdown which I've sorted with the help of the great forum search function.

I thought it was about time I joined the membership instead of just sitting in the background.

I've done a few mods so far which include fitting sound proofing & a RedBooster clutch servo to help out my poor old knee.

Would be interested in joining a club if anyone can recommend a family friendly club in Herts, Beds or Bucks.

Here's a pic of my landy doing one of her main tasks & very well she does it.

Cheers

Loves me a Landy and a boat, in that order too lol

Welcome to the forum

Hi @Disco1BFG

The RedBooster cost £375 & I fitted it myself so no extra cost there. I just rang them up spoke to Rod there seemed very helpful.

I did read through all the posts on the various options and picked the best for me being lazy I wanted all the hard work done for me all be it at a price.

It has however transformed the driving experience of my Landy so well happy with it, after 25 years of driving manual company cars round London every day my poor old knee isn't in to good a shape.

The landy now has a clutch lighter than my wife's Audi.

Cool, as does SWMBO's D1, here :). I never understood why LR made the clutch so heavy in the first place - I guess it was either simple stupidity , bone idleness o_O , or possibly they simply could be bothered :confused:..

Welcome to the club of those that know a light clutch is attainable :D

( thanks for the price info too - as you'll have seen from my thread, I did it for quite a bit less. Glad you fitted it yourself though :) )
