Hi . Spare Wheel Anti Theft Fitting

Hi All and Thanks in advance. Just dropped the spare wheel and made the usual mistake of winding it back up without weight, so replacing the winch. I also got the LR112834 kit to deter any scrotes (If they want the wheel, then they are gonna get it eventually). However, I’ve no idea how it is meant to be installed. Help

Thanks, seen these, but wanted something a little lighter and the Disco isn’t really left anywhere long enough to have a good go at the spare (if they want). Just wanted something that stops someone snipping the cable in a few seconds. Thanks again

Deter is all you can do. As you said if they want it they’ll take it but they do tend to go for easier targets. Certain things best to weld on. BMWs for example are relatively hard to steal so they just take the parts they want off it like bumpers etc, so dab of weld on every screw head stops that. Not such a good idea to weld the spare on though best thing to do is keep a tyre that’s near the limit on a crap looking wheel for a spare so no one would want it.
