That's me, by the way, not the car! So far, that's fine :)

I'm basically falling to bits so am having difficulty getting comfy in my 'new to me' Freelander. I find that if I put the seat back up to almost vertical so it supports my back, it makes the actual 'sit on' bit too short so there's no support for my knees, which makes it really uncomfortable to drive.

I need to know if there's a way of elongating the seat or if there's another model with a longer seat that would fit into mine so I can maybe cannibalise it & swap them over, please?

Mines a Freelander Td4, 06 plate, auto & apart from this, I love it :) Only had it a couple of weeks but so far, so good :)

Any advice greatly appreciated, thank you in advance,

Jo
:)

Thanks for replying bushwacker,
I have indeed - every permutation of sliding the seat backwards & forwards combined with adjusting the back and that infernal lumbar support but to no avail......still can't get comfy.
I think there's just too much incompatible padding between the seat back & me :(

Welcome Jo, if you are falling to bits that badly, maybe a Disco with seat raise and lowering would have been better. However I also love the Freelander so perhaps you could add some physio padding to the seat for that extra support you need.

Thanks for replying, skynet, much appreciated :)

Might try & hunt down a Disco seat to see what it's like then, if it is, see if it could be swapped over. Not heard of physio padding but will try that also although, I think part of the problem is a surplus of padding already! Most of it on me unfortunately :)

Looking forward to getting to know my Landy - never had one before so it's all new & exciting :)

Thanks again
