Hi there, thought I may as well jump on the forum as I have a Series 3 88" ex mod soft top. This is the latest in a fair string of landies, I cant shake the bug, I go from a 'playing up' landy to a motorbike to a boat then back to a landy eventually! Touch wood tho, this time I seem to have a good'un.
I live in Battle, East Sussex, am 40 going on 16 and have a proposition for forum members......
I am planning to do what I am calling 'An old timers run for the sand', by this I mean trying to get a group of old landies (see drivers also) to Erg Chebbi in Morocco and back again. This is not exclusive to old landies, some newer ones may be extremely welcome come breakdown time!) But this is no mean feat. Expensive, slow, uncomfortable and hot. Just like a landy really. I am aiming for sept 2010 for 3/4 weeks. Leaving Portsmouth to Bilbao on ferry (24hrs) drive through Spain, into Morocco and head for the Erg. I shall be putting up a proper post elsewhere, but as I'm intoducing myself I thought I'd let you know what I'm about.
