Hi new to forum. Need advice please

Hi I have a series 2a 88" diesel 1965. Someone has fitted a 12j 2.5 na diesel engine and there are no glow plugs fitted. So I bought some Delphi hds271 glow plugs they say that they fit a land rover 90 with a 12j engine code. But there don't fit mine have tried to research this and it all comes back that the plugs are correct. Any ideas please.

Perhaps your engine has non standard head, what they’ve changed all together is unknown
