Hi, I am new to all things 4x4 having been after one for a while and had enough of the snow this week I decided enough is enough. I own a '96 Disco 300 TDi in black with 111K on the clock. She pretty much is mint and I am well chuffed. Now, she needs 4 new boots and this is where I am a little confused. The rubber on there at the mo is 245/70/16 and on the spare is 235/70/16. What size tyres should I be putting on this beast? I will do mostly road driving and obviously use it in snow and maybe a little in the mud but don't have time for off-roading hardcore!!

Anyone any good places to source the tyres from once I know what size?

Cheers guys

so you wont need mud terrains ! possibly might not need all terrains. you might be beter off getting pure road tyres as in standard 205's and source some mt's off ebay to sling on when you want to play

So are 205/s totally standard then? The disco was used on a farm so maybe that's why it has 245's on it at the mo??

So if I drop from 245's to 205's I am unlikely to notice the difference unless I try playing in the mud?
