hi low box linkage broke

hello,
i was offroading earlyer to day and had just come up a hill in low and was changing it back to high after i was up to go home. it slipped out twice and the nthe leaver just went lose...after a bit of investigating(sticking a screw driver in and playing with it ) i saw that the linkage from bottom of the knob had broke, anyway i managed to get it home oki but i still need i new linkage and cant find one anywhere online, any ideas?

Whats actually broken? Which bit? Picture?

I had a similar experience I broke the piece of monkey metal that attaches the rod from the leaver and runs at 45 degrees back to the transfer box. It has an 8mm pin through it that connects to the transfer box high low and has a turned flat piece that the threaded part of the rod goes from the leaver for adjustment. First sign was difficulty selecting low and high asif you had to move furthur to get the gear. It was in fact breaking up cracking and moving away from the high resistance of the gear selection giving the effect of loosing its travel. Finally gave out at a trial managed to get under and select high range with my leatherman to get home. I replaced the part th eold one is right here next to my comp cant even weld it its bloody monkey metal. Jai

what box is it i have a lt230te from a 78000 mile 90 for 50 quid if you want it?

Yea same bit exactly the same place its not even steel its an alloy of some sort monkey metal. you can order the part from any land rover place or a main stealer but I would try Ashcrofts. They will probably send you one in the post for next to nothing worth a phone call. Certainly not worth changing the transferbox for an item as cheap as that Jai

humm i tried fitting the new one that came today but av got stuck haha.theres not enough room to get the pin in to push it though, and i cant push it through from the other side as when you push it in low it knocks the lockingside piece out :S
