3 mg sports cars if they were mgf then your either a glutton for punishment. or should know better by know
if you wash it be sure to close the doors or they have been known to fall off (when forgetting open and driven)

all i really wanted, was a bit of advice on what is likely to (with the exception of HGF) break / fall off / explode / catch fire or all of the above.

welcome to the forum, before going any further on this forum with a freelander, you need to order from Land Rover special "Rhino Skin".

Most common fault is a curious knocking sound, generally caused by defender and disco drivers on this forum. Rhino skin usually cures this.

Seriously, the 1.8 is quite a problematic engine, there are numerous posts in the freelander section. The rest of the vehicle has ups and downs like most others, not had one yet I didn't have to spanner in one way or another.

All the answers are in this forum, you just have to wade through the abuse to find them.
