Hi I'm new to LandyZone and new to owning a Land Rover, however i have been involved with Landys over the years.
Vehicle
Discovery 2 , 2002 TD5
125 K miles
Automatic

Welcome
Hows the Discovery going?
Hi Thank You, its sort of going OK, only had it three weeks, already had the roof lining down repaired the snapped drain tube. All i need to do now is get my confidence in the vehicle to a level where I'M happy to drive it anywhere.

Well, given that you've got a profile picture of what appears to be a bit of a CV joint and a stub axle, it looks like you'll be able to manage most kinds of repairs and refurbishments. Welcome.

Hi Brian,

Welcome to the loonyzone, Lots of lovely info on here.

Owning a D2 myself, I always recommend to any fellow owners the following.

a) It is useful to have 2 working fobs.
b) Find out what the EKA code is and try to use it to make sure you know how to use it and it works.
c) Find someone local who has a diagnostic that works on the D2 , Lynx / nanocom / Hawkeye.

Enjoy it , i really like mine.

Cheers

Thanks for the warm welcome, i have two out of the three, EKA Code i dont have. I may have spoken to early about it running ok, had a problem starting on a couple of occasions. Suspect fuel issue, engine spins over very well and takes a long time to start firing when it does it has to build up the revs. I'm suspecting fuel pressure regulator. One of the joys of owning a LAnd Rover i guess . :)

Thanks for the Warm welcome looking forward to using the site

EKA code is available from a LR dealer , should be FOC. Or if you know someone with a nanocom they can read it from the car, Or you may have it on a security card somewhere, finally you can always order it online for about £20. But best to try it when you have it in case someone has changed it.

Cheers
