[GALLERY=][/GALLERY]I'm a Brit living in the USA, been here since 89, lived in the Deep South for 26 years, now living in Ocean City NJ. I have a rust free 2002 Discovery SE V8, She is called Bertha, I've had her 7 years, love her so much that I want to bring her home with me when I move back to UK next year, problem is, she has ARB Bullbars, I've been told they are illegal in the UK now and she probably won't be let in with them, what is the law concerning these Bullbars already mounted on a my Landy? thanks for any advice.

Welcome to the forum Cliff.
As many have already found the UK legislation applicable to bull-bars is something of a grey area, so I suggest you go on line & perhaps you can make sense of it

If you're vehicle is pre 2007 it should be fine

Thanks Evan, yeah she's an 02, although I only replaced the old bull bars a couple of years ago, hope they don't count that as post 07. lol

Yes they do any bull bar manufactured after 07 is illegal in U.K. But as you're coming from a place they are legel should be fine

Lie they won't ask if you're that worried take it off and put it in the back I wouldn't bother as your vehicle is pre 07

Ah, ok thanks Evan, thought for a moment they might go over it with a fine tooth comb and find a manufacturers date on my bumper I didn't know about, there was an older bull bar on it before, been on it for years and looked like it! lol , I decided to replace it with a new one with a winch a couple of years ago.
