hi i am ivor from mid wales and i would like advice about freelander

yesterday I went to see a td4 freelander with auto trans mission it has 123000 on the clock and is tidy but I was surprised at the large amount of brake pedal travel the owner said it has not caused any problems

I would personally avoid an auto, but that is my personal preference. TD4 engines were good from what I gather. Avoid the 1.8 petrol in particular.

Td4 is very good engine like Mike says avoid the 1.8 like the plague brake pedal travel could get a number of things
