Hi guys, joined to help my neighbour

Hello all, I thought I'd do the polite thing and at least introduce myself. I'll be honest and say straight away that I've only joined so that I can search the forums for some information. My neighbour has an 03 Freelander TD4 and is having problems with his front windscreen wipers so he's asked me if I can fix it (I'm yet to have a proper look at it) but when I searched on google it always came up with various links to this site
Anyway, I'm not turning this into a technical post, I'll search and see what comes up.

To try and earn some brownie points I will say that I particularly love the Mark Evans 'A 4x4 is born' series with the defender he built

did he try using em when they were frozen to the screen?

I've no idea to be honest, all I know at the moment is that he said sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. I've popped down the road and taken a quick look at the car, they wipers seems to be parked correctly and the arms seems pretty solid, although there is a tiny bit of movement in the passenger arm.
It's always garaged so I'm guessing they'd never been frozen onto the screen. I'll know more when he's in and i can get the keys and see what's what.
I seem to have earned a name for myself in this road what with always fiddling with my own cars lol
