Hi from the newby

Hi all i'm not currently a lr owner but i am looking to buy a defender pickup but finding it fairly hard to find a decent one for around the 3g mark. any way i hope now that i have joined i may be able to get some good advice on what sort of things to check when looking

Also someone told me that its faily simple to convert a regular defender in to a pickup is this true.

Hi there, just keep your eyes open & im sure something will turn up. You might find something on ebay if your lucky, but make sure it's close enough for you to go & view & inspect it before bidding. It's fairly easy to convert a 90 or a 110 hard top 3 door model into a pickup, converting a 110 station wagon 5 door model into a pickup is a lot more work, If your new to landys, it might be better to look for the best pickup you can afford & just work from there, learning as you modify it etc. If you need help, just shout & someone here will be able to help.
