Hi from south beds

Just thought I'd better post an intro to save getting a roasting later when I ask some stupid questions (I haven't got any yet but I'm bound to think of some).
I'm a 50 year old youth that doesn't know what he wants to be when he grows up, I like old Harley's and dislike plastic people.
I did a BORA course for work a couple of weeks ago and the land rover bug bit my arse again (I had a Series III short wheelbase several years ago which I brought from Whipsnade zoo, but I never actually got it on the road, I did all the work to it but my girlfriend sold it from under me when we split up).
On Sunday I'm training it down to Cornwall to pick up a hybrid seriesII soft top, which I'd like to get a hard top or cab for, I'll post some pictures up when and if I make it back in one piece.

Got the train to Cornwall, picked up the Landy and drove back, the journey was great till I smelt hot rubber, I pulled over to find a nearly new rear tyre nearly off the rim, luckily had a spare, found the wheel brace and a ropey old scissor jack but no jack handle!!!! took me an hour to change the bloody thing in the pouring rain, then it snowed heavily and although the heater fan was spinning well, absolutely nothing was going onto the screens "que serra serra" I still enjoyed the trip but was glad to get home
