Thanks for the add. I recently bought a Series 2a Lightweight Truck, ex Aus and NZ Army. This is now keeping my 110 and L322 company.

Will be embarking upon a restoration of the Series, will definitely be searching the forum for help !

Hi Paul,

Welcome to the loonyzone.

Nice looking toys, I do like those 110's is that what the ozzies call a Perentie? If so, then a few are appearing at over here. Or is it the NZ army equivalent.

Cheers

Thanks mate. Yes thats right its a Perentie. They are replacing the Landies with Merc G Wagons. A mate of mine has one as well, but not too many are coming over at the moment, a bit of a nightmare getting them registered since they are not civilian registered.

It's great fun. I've added a few mods to it, power steering, ARB Lockers front and rear, and just finished installing a turbo. Makes a huge difference on the road now with double the power.
Cheers

Sounds fun,

Has that got the 2.8 Isuzu engine in it? I thought they had turbos and powers steering as std, must be a bit fun steering without it.
They are appearing in a few of our military decommissioning sites, plus some enterprising people are importing them in small amounts after purchasing in Oz from what I understand.

Cheers

Close they have the 3.9 Isuzu engine. The 6x6 came standard with power steering and turbos. It's certainly nice being able to change gear going round a roundabout now.

Cheers

Welcome aboard :)

Any chance of some more pics of the Series - I likes a nice series I does :D

:)

Cheers - Here's a couple with the roof and door tops off. Certainly caught peoples attention when I drove to work !
