Hi folks just a quick hello. I had posted a question before the intro but having read through some of the forums there is clearly a sequence of events to be followed to be welcomed into the fold so here is the official intro.

I'm Tom and have just bought a metallic orange / red unsure correct colour but I like it 2001 disco td5 es. So far seems ok no doubt the will be many searches unsuccessful no doubt so a few questions will follow.

I live in SW Scotland and hopefully this vehicle will help me visit my family throughout the winter.

I have been on several forums before but I think this one will help me a lot more due to the nature of the beast I have purchased she has been called Edith by the way, rough and gruff ( still Game fans will know what I mean).

Anyhoo hi again and be gentle :fencing:

Sorry been busy at work, Edith was a gruff wee wummin from the tv series Still Game who drank pints of Guinness, she sounds a bit gruff on start up but soon smoothes out.

Really happy so far with her had a service the other day and my mechanic has said she has been well looked after just needing to treat her to waxoyl which I knew before any of the minor rust gets a grip.

Well here some photos not great but thought about time

Gaiter replace with eBay ones looks much better and not too hard to fit

I wasn't sure about the colour when I first saw her but now
Loving it. All standard except the springs on the rear. Fitted with new compressor end of 2011 but previous owner gave up after another leak appeared and converted, prob look to take off what isn't needed and sell on.

So far loving it I have a 325 tourer hence reason for 4x4 one winter enough!.

I know there will be problems but I'm sure with the help of enthusiasts I'll get by.
