:) I must be another Land Rover nut as for some strange reason I have two pairs of underpants with "Land Rover Genuine Parts" embroided onto them. I have just driven up to Kenya from Port Elizabeth in South Africa, a wonderful trip of just under 7000 kms. My current vehicle is a 1999 Defender 110 TD5. I have had a 110 TDi 300 pick up and a 110 TDi 300 CSW. My vehicle is fully kitted out for overland adventure and I have also done some mods on the engine to get her to go better. If anyone wants info with regard to travel or vehicle preparation for overland, feel free to contact me. A lot of my bits and pieces were collected in the UK. :)

Hi jimbo90
My current rooftop tent is made by Howling Moon, they are made in RSA and seem to have a lifetime garantee. This is my second rooftop tent as the other one was a bit too small. It was made by EzeeAwn. Both are top notch tents and are expensive, but for overland, they are brilliant. No snakes and creepy crawlies to get into your bedding. If you need to stay at a camp site for longer than a couple of nights a ground tent will be a better option especially if you want to keep your campsite and also want to do game veiwing during the day. I would look in the 4x4 mag swops, you could get a good deal as they last forever and dont see much wear and tear. Good luck.

cool, cheers for that. I have a ground tent allready, its huge so makes a good holiday base but you dont wanna spend half hour puttin it up then same again to put away for one night stopover!
Have you ever forgoten where you where and fallen out? cos thats the sorta thing i do.
