Just joined this site so hi.

I would like to build a decent 110 double cab pickup for a weekend toy and although I don't have the space yet due to other project, I have seen a 110 single cab pickup locally which I'm going to look at. Wish me luck!

Wow, wasn't expecting to get so many replies from this so didn't put many details down.

The one I'm looking at is an 87 single cab 110 pickup so I was hoping, although not been able to find out if I can, to remove the cab and pickup and replace with a double cab and pickup. Is this doable? If so, would any year double cab/pickup bed fit? Would a pickup bed from a 90 fit as well?

Thanks all

Hi Ed,

Never thought about changing from a single cab to a double, but I would have thought it would be a nightmare tbh. ( Although I may be wrong) I suspect you would find lots of hidden extras to be done that you would not expect. Not sure what age the DCPU started , but why not look for one of them and start with a "proper" vehicle rather than one needed to be modded from the get go.

Cheers

I have considered looking for one already done that just needs some TLC but being in Jersey, finding one is difficult and getting one from the UK would mean it would have to be clean enough to pass an inspection on registration which means more cost. I doubt i'll buy this one but I thought I better start looking.

There is a 110 DCPU with a cummins motor on eBay for sale which I would love but don't have the money!
