Let's just assume I know nothing about Land Rovers....well, because I don't...:(

However, I have gone and bought a Defender,1992 200tdi 90 Truck Cab....and so my road to bankruptcy has begun :eek:
I picked it up in Scotland and drove it all the way back down to Hertfordshire, without a single problem and not even an oil leak....that can't be a bad start..

I will probably ask loads of stupid questions but as I’ve said, I don’t know much about them, other than the fact that, they rust, A LOT, are cold, wet, smelly, break down often and are very uncomfortable and noisy to drive. I can’t wait to get stuck in:)

You obviously tell lies as well. You said, in your introduction that "Let's assume that ....... About Land Rovers ... well because I don't" and, within the same breath you go on to prove beyond doubt that you know all that you need to know. In fact I'd suggest that you might well be one of this worlds leading authority on Land Rovers!

The trick is to learn how to live with them and keep them going. Enjoy your new vehicle. It looks good.

Thanks Marma, that is the very first thing on my "to do list" before i actually take it home and park it on my drive....they sure are dissappearing at an alarming rate.

Don't change the colour, just re- spray the doors or get new transfer to cover the one that is missing. If you do need to change colour one member, and apologies for forgetting who it was, has a beautiful pale green with cream roof. Personally I don't quite like the contrasting roof, but the overall colour is the dogs do dahs!
 
It is a bit dull and tired but will most probably keep it red, just for ease and cost....then i don't need to change the colour with the DVLA and it probably won't count as an "modification" on the insurance. I do like the sound the green though...
