Hi,
I bought a 1983 model 110 with the 4 cylinder petrol engine and could need some help.
Couple of questions:
-anyone knows a mechanic near Gloucester who could have a look at the engine. When going uphill it starts stuttering as if not getting enough fuel.
- how easy/hard/expensive is it to replace the 4 cylinder with a V8?
Thanks,
helmut

One of the first 110's and rare or getting rare atleast.
Shame to bodge a non standard engine in it.
A service might sort it, easy to do just ask in the correct forum on here.
Oh, hello and welcome:):)

Welcome from Stroud :)

I can give you the number of a decent Indie but the old lump is pretty basic if you want to figure it out yourself you'll get plenty of help here

A number of an Indie not too far would be great. Thanks goondoogg for offering help. I'm in Newnham and we only come on week ends. Would take 3h to drive from here to Dudley how the car runs at the moment :-(

That's quite a rare landy you've got. Must be first production batch. Try to keep it original and it'll pay in the long run. Any pics?

Sounds like the vacuum advance. Have a nosey around the vacuum pipe from the dizzy to the carb. Also worthwhile getting new plugs, ignition points, condenser, spark plugs and leads. Hopefully not a serious problem. Once the ignition is set up the 4 cylinder engine should run smooth. It's a design from the 60's and for the 110 isn't going to give massive power but it'll chug away.
