Hello,
I'm a P38 owner and picking up an early 110 next week as a project.
I've been into cars and restoration as a hobby since I trained as a VM in the REME a few years ago. It seems only right to be getting around to a Land Rover now.
I've gone through a few years on Mini's and then onto VW's but fancy a change for a while.I'll no doubt go back to Vw's at some point but I've just had a clear out on that front.
Cheers folks, see you around.....

No mate, never owned a Beetle - yet! I've had a few splitscreen vans, a couple of later campers, crew cab, Karmann Ghia, Type 3 Notchback, etc, etc.....
The Big P, I'll have a look for that.
Sounds like ye like the vw's then:) Me neighbour has a couple o' auld beetles he's workin' on and often helps his mate who has a business rentin' oot the campers 'n' stuff down this way.

Is that Solway Beetles? I dropped some stuff of to a guy who lives along the road from that boy a few years back. He had a burgundy camper in his drive that he was planning on getting on the road. It looked like it needed a load of work doing.

Aye that's him, Davie is his name. He's had a few that's needed a lot o' work... that's where me neighbour helps him out wi' the weldin' and stuff. He was doin' a lot o' weddin' stuff fur a wee bit anaw. If he didn't have what somebody was lookin' for, he'd find a suitable motor and do it up and paint it white.... usually at the last minute!!:D

Aye, it's a small world with VW's, spend a few years in it and everybody knows somebody that knows the other guy. I don't suppose it'll be much different with Land Rovers, it's as big a scene if not bigger.
