Hi I'm Neil from Southend on sea Essex. Me and my other half have been saving for a while and have taken the plunge and bought our first landrover. We took a massive gamble with the unstoppable unnatural force of eBay... Possibly stupidly without much of a description but nonetheless found ourselves chugging nearly 100 miles back from West Sussex yesterday with our new "1969" 109" mongrel. Within this journey we fell in love with our landy which drove very nice for a 45 year old but we now have a few issues and choices in the cold light of day. Firstly it is fitted with a v8, secondly it has the eight spoke steel wheels with large tyres and thirdly range rover seats. Now do we put it back to its original state for purposes of insurance as a classic or keep it as it is purely because it drove home fine at fifty and was quite good on fuel. Any advice would be appreciated and a big hello from us in essex

Welcome fella, best to use it for a while and get a feel for it, don't rush into buying things straight away, do plenty of research first.
