Hi,
I'm Ed. Retired. Some say senile as well.
I have a 96 Disco that actually has never been off road. But hopefully that will change as I build up my courage. There were two prior owners who never took it off road either. I bought it with 180,000 K's on it.
I have done some work on it myself and also taken it a few times to the a local dealer. I am in the market for new tires and rims right now.
Mine has the 4ltr and std trans.
I really like this unit and intend to keep it as I usually do with all my vehicles. My main vehicle prior to the disco was a 74 suburban type veh that I did most of the work on, including two engine overhauls. That veh had close to 450,000 k's when I parked it.
Plans for the disco include---a new high output alternator, a winch, repair some minor rust spots, replace the tires and try to keep it in top working order.

Ed
