Hi all, I'm not totally new here, but never actually introduced myself. I've recently received some good and very prompt help relating to my S3 109", so I'm sure I'll be back here, as there is always something going wrong with these old things!!!

alright mate, you are kinda local to me - im a bit further sarf in beaconsfield!

if you are ever down this way giz a bell, got alot of tea i cant get thru meself.

im expecting a bunch of series II's arriving soon - but no confirmation. knowing them i will be in the middle of lunch when the buggers all turn up1

Beaconsfield is quite an outing for the old series 3. When the lightweight was going, it felt, dare I say it...fast?...ok, maybe not fast, but nippy. The 2.6 S3, is sooooo slow, i think i need an overdrive, classic diffs, or an ashcroft high ratio conversion before I'll feel like taking it any distance.

mate - i went laning in the peak district - from here - with my 1958 series II. no overdrive, a 2.25 diesel, no roof, and no door tops.

48 mph all the way and much amusement on the way back when it started ****ing with rain

my god! I went to the auto jumble in Newbury recently in mine, and thought that was bad enough. By the time I got there it was time to come back.
I should be grateful for having doors and a roof though I guess!

yea - stop bein a moany bitch its a series. its loud, its slow, its uncomfortable. you knew that before buyin the fecker!!

im about an hour away tops in series time, i took me II up to aylesbury a few times
