You could say that, down a dead end road over a mound of earth, along a footpath, under a bridge, through a field, into a ditch banked both sides by trees.
On his own
Totally illegal, no way on earth was it a byway


I told him in no uncertain terms the error of his ways, that firstly his car could be confiscated and crushed, secondly he's giving legal green laners a bad name and thirdly that he gets the first time for free, do it again he's on his own.

I hope he's learnt his lesson, especially as he's got a really nice Series III

I'm a bit knackered out, left home at 08:30, laning all day in Essex, got the call to rescue on the way home, then picked up some tyres in Kettering with Leebastard after that, no idea how many miles I've done today, but it's a lot.

My landie and me have made it home.

Thanks so much to everyone for your help - but in particular of course to LeeBastard and Syderman... They really did save my bacon!

I totally take what was said about illegal routes, I've lived around here for many years and have always been under the impression where I was, was generally acknowledged to be legal. It isn't my desire or intention to give a 'bad name' to laners.

Anyway, I was wondering what name I should use when registering - today kind of answers that, doesn't it... Once again, very grateful to all - but it's LeeBastard and Syderman that made it happen!

And yes... I did feel a doughnut! :)

Very lightly, I hate to think how much it would have costed to get a recovery firm to do it, that's if they were prepared to do it at all.
He's got a clutch I think to fix, but apart from that the Series came out unscathed. It was in a pretty horrible situation for recovery, had to just drag it sideways in the end. i don't like thinking that I might damage something recovering someone.

Like I said to you, as long as it's a lesson learnt.
You're more than welcome to join us on any laning day out, they'll all be legal and you'll learn a lot.
