Can any one advise on my oil level? I have overfilled my D4 2014 oil level, (having misunderstood the level reading it gave me when the engine was hot) . I have now sucked out 1.5l but it’s still saying “overfilled” do i need to pull out more oil? Will the over filled message revert back when I have the correct level? Or do I need to get it reset at the MD? Thanks in advance!

What does the dipstick say?
The Disco 4 doesn’t have a dipstick. It’s crazy you can only Veiw the oil level on a digital display 15 mins after you stop the engine. What’s more frustrating is the dipstick tube is there so you can suck out the oil with a vacuum pump. It just has a small black cap on top. It doesn’t feel like progress to me! Lol

My bmw has no dipstick. And the electronic display doesn't tell you the level until you've driven for about 20 minutes
