Found the new members section so here goes.
After moving to the most rural part of North Wales in February and getting snowed in on the 1st 2 weekends I decided to sell my ice-skating S-Max and get something a bit more 'country friendly' (the S-Max came down the hill at the end of our track 3 times sideways and had to go). The kids though tit was great missing school but mum wasn't so understanding.
I finally found a mate selling a Disco and decided to go for it. 1994 300tdi in Green. 131k on the clock, a bit rough around the edges and on the interior but it's a Disco that's 16 years old so what else should I expect?
As everyone keeps telling me; owning a Disco is an expensive hobby so I'm sure I'll be asking for lots of advice. My parents used to have a Landy (pre-110 series) and I can't believe how far they have come on in the Disco. I remember writing in my 'topic' book at school 27 years ago that we went to Cornwall in our landrover and it cost us £70 in fuel. 27 years on - it's even more expensive but for a superb workhorse that handles anything you can throw at it, what can you expect?
Cheers, Dave
ps. did the right thing today and prioritised a new JVC I.C.E. system for it with new speakers. The interior trim can wait a little longer before I repair it.
