Hi and thanks for letting me join.

I have a 1971 serise 3 with a 200 TDI engine (now needs a new turbo) lots of oil blowing into the inlet never a good idea on a diesel...

I got the car a week ago and just started the tidy up as so many of them need..
Brakes are total rubish like dangerously so

Then on to fixing a few of the oil leaks :)

That should be a nice motor, you will enjoy! :cool:
And yes, I would get the turbo sorted, diesel runaway aint funny for the owner, although the bystanders usually love it! :D
Brakes on a series should be just about adequate and safe if set up right. Bad adjustment and oil or brake fluid in the drums are fairly common.
