Long time lurker, thought it was about time I got on here..
have a series 3 109 station wagon in bits. It spent a number of years laid up in a friends field after a mouse ate through the clutch flexi, and when I heard he was about to scrap it I stepped in. It then spent a number of years in a corner of my garden.
It would still fire up after all this given a charged battery so I thought I'd do something about it.
So, I started taking it to bits. And winter came so I built a tent round it. Soon another winter approached, so I made space in my barn and piled stuff on it.
I soon realised after another year that this wasnt really gettting it done so I actually did some work on it.
Which brings me to where I am now. It is a bare chassis and I have nearly finished welding up all the holey bits. Ended up finding a back half chassis which saved a lot of work. Probably about 2/3 new metal in it now.
I will probably be after help remembering where a few bits go, and finding some other bits.
have some but not nearly enough photos, given time I might get round to a rebuild thread..
cheers, JB
