I've just brought a 1999 discovery TDS GS Auto.
It cost me £3000, I didn't realise until I got it home that it had a few problems. Car dealers don't explain the little things...grrr
I've still got 3 months warranty, so It's going back to the dealer Monday.
The problems....
I found dampness in the passenger side footwell (where your feet go), I lifted the carpet and it was swimming, carpet stunk, so I cut that part out, still Wet underneath actual seat and behind seat.
I looked at boot and found it damp under carpet...have I been ripped off??.
And to top it all off, I can't open the bonnet, I pull the lever and it doesn't pop up, I got a freind to press on the bonnet while I pulled the lever and it opened a few times, but eventually stopped altogether......will my luck change.
I don't think it's had a service for a few years, so I'm looking forward to getting that done....hopefully I can give it some new life!.
I enjoy camping, amateur radio and bushcraft and off roading.
Any good landrover mechanics around or near Dudley, West Midlands?
