Hi all i haven't been on here for a very long time. i had a D2 but it had to go for various reasons.
I'm now in the position of getting another green oval and i'm thinking about an early D3 I understand the mileage will be high for my budget i was just wondering what peoples experiences are with these vehicles I've read all about the bad bits ( hand brake, making sure the belts are done, auto g/box oil change) the vehicle will only be used at weekends for some green laneing landrover shows when i go fishing or bad weather.
what are the good and bad bits to owning one ????
Thanks.

:)Welcome back, you don’t need to disappear if you get rid of your Landy btw o_O:rolleyes:

D3 is bit different to a D2, sorta like getting a RR - spannering is bit more difficult but you need computer & electronic know to do pretty much anything. There are some right smarties here than can help you along though

Good luck

I'm hgv mechanic by trade so no probs with working on them and have a ramp and diagnostic gear i can use was just looking for the pitfalls and its good to know that there is some knowledge on here.
