Hi Guys and Girls, just getting up to speed (no pun intended) with the site. I'm driving a '79, 2.6 6 cylinder 109 series 3, yes, the fast one apparently ...
seemed to be loads of new registered users today.
learning loads from the site already, stuff to do on my beast includes a cylinder head gasket replacement, and front brakes soon enough.
any others out there with a 2.6 6 cyl, give me a shout!

Welcome Pete - above all PLEASE don't get tempted to convert your six to diesel or V8! you've got a rare one there............................. is it a safari or two door?

Hi waldamar, it has crossed my mind to convert, but only briefly... I'll keep it 2.6 for as long as I can, parts supply dependant.
Mine is a 2 door cab, I have side walls and a roof for it, 2 kids and the wife don't all fit in as it is but I'm on no rush to change over.

Welcome to the forum from a former owner of Series III 109s, sadly attempting to stuff the same amount of things into the back of a 90. Still fun though. Enjoy the beastie.

Good man RogueTrooper, thanks. plenty of room on the back of the 109 for now while its a cab/open back. hedge cuttings hanging off the tail gate as I type!
