Hi all looking for my first landy, I like the look of the Disco 3 / 4 , but open to suggestions.
Got about 5k plus extra 2k if needed for repair / upgrades.
Wil only be used for camping and commuting about 10 miles per day.
All advice welcome
Cheers!
Jeff

A D3 or D4 can be an expensive vehicle to maintain. Do you have the ability to do the work yourself or need the help of a garage?

I have done brakes, discs shocks , electrics on my cars also a clutch , I have a good tool kit amassed over the years. Always do my own oil and filter changes, coolant etc.

You should be ok then. Need to get a diagnostic device to assist. The Gap IIDBT is good for disco 3/4 but expensive. Other options available. Ask in the disco section on ere and peeps will advise what they have got and what it can do.
