Hi all, another newbie here.
I have a defender 90 200tdi '93 with a 192k miles, and a really rusty chassis. It's had loads of patches and needs major major work or a new one. I love the van it's got real character and only gets used at weekends. So a richards galvenised chassis plus bolts n bushes is 2k plus shox n springs, brake lines and fitting at my local garage is £1k. I expect there will be other bits needed.. so I guess £3.5k should I go for it? Or will there be other major issues encountered. If I do, what else should be done while it's stripped? Engines high mileage but I hear they can do twice that?
