Hey guys newbie with gearbox issue

Hey guys just rebuilt my series 3 gearbox went to drive it and first second work fine but you can select 3rd and drive it fine but when you go to pull it out into fourth it's jammed. So you you come to a halt jerk the clutch and it will come out. Also it only jams if you drive it in 3rd first. if you select 3rd and pull it out straight away it's fine any ideas thanks JLW
