Evening all I just bought my first landy and thought I'd sign up to see what people are up to in theirs. I got a 1987 landy 90 and I think it's the dt 19j engine??? Although I think I can see a injector pump????
Anyway it's got a few small issues that I'll be sorting shortly but I've been waist deep in water all weekend so having some fun in it first.
Harry.

Welcome. Interesting project you've got there. Most Land Rovers don't mind having their engine bays cleaned out with a pressure washer, so it might be possible to see the injector pump a bit more clearly after a few minutes vigorous hosing.

Welcome to the loonyzone, Harry! :)
That should have a 2.5 td, unless it is petrol, or converted. And 2.5 td does have an injection pump.
Hope your chassis has some protection on it, and axle breathers etc. are working if you are driving through waist deep water. ;)

It actually looked like it had just been rebuilt when i bought it (primered block and markings on hoses) but i kind of like the muddy look I've created!

Could be luck of the draw, or because he posted in about the right section, or cos he didn't post a pic of himself in a clinging skirt! ;)
I would take it as a compliment! :)

Anyways, give it time, others will end up in the snake pit in due course! ;) :D

Try and rinse all the silt out, and treat the inside thoroughly after drying! ;)

Did you sit in the Disco with the sunroof open until the water reached your waist then?

G~
Steady on mate! This one will be on its way to the pit in a minute!
