Hi,

Had a quick search but can't find this issue.

Right, was taking out an old handsfree kit that was installed when I purchased the vehicle. There was cables, buttons, cradles, aerials everywhere. Had to take off gear selector surround so while I was there I thought I would have a go at the lights in the hevac as none of them have ever worked.

Any way checked lamps, one is dead. Not got spares yet. Put hevac back in place. Plugged it in, turned ignition on and got the Book Symbol!!!! (and still no lights!)

Gave up cause it got dark, drove home and had a quick look again, now the outside temperature is going down and down and down, I turned it all off on minus 12.

Hevac has worked done for last 2months of ownership.

Any ideas?

James

my book symbol comes and goes as it likes but as it all appears to work I give it a good leaving alone..........

:behindsofa:Which incidently you probably should have too...lol

Stupid question time....

If I get a newish hevac control thingy will the fault still be there or is I stored somewhere else?

:behindsofa:

Faults are stored in the HEVAC "Thingy".

If you buy a second hand Thingy, it may also have stored faults which need to be cleared with diagnostics such as Autologic, Faultmate or dealers Test Book wotsits.

:D:D

Woooo!!!!

Solved it, a cable had become disconnected to a blend motor. Plugged in all good!

Any ideas on lights? Have changed lamps but nothing? Is they a lamp fuse??

Would it be possible to wire to the illumination the the one from the stereo??

Cheers!!!

Right according to RAVE the illumination for the HEVAC is the same cable/pin as the less on the switch for window heater/heatered seats etc. Which all work fine....

This now means i don't have a clue!!!

any ideas?
