hey guys, f**k it thought I would sign up as taylon is on here. Was a huge laugh today thanks again 
. Final diagnosis on the hippo is that the alt over charged and boiled the battery (we all know this) but on the way home to keep system voltage around 12v taylon had to run only side lights to get home as on the A406 warning lights for ABS, traction and hill decent flickered on/off, this was discovered after I gave it a quick check with a meter. So new battery and alternator is required. Anyway, awesome day out and I look forward to seeing you guys again in the future. Looking on plans for keeping the alt dry for future rivers (silly Chris ........)

i got back home after 6 hours
motor not running, will take her to the garage first thing in the morning
it was a great day out but unfo i lost my tablet, phone, couple of maps got wet and more importantly engine is not running any more
lets see if my mechanic can fix her before new year

Thought phone was ok. Glad your homei got back home after 6 hours
