Hey Guys, recognise you from Mud Club Tiki and i have spoken to a few of you other guys before when I first logged on ....let me know when you are going out as me and mate would probably tag along, got a few landranger maps in my motor with the Byways highlighted . Have checked out a lot of them some shut and some not very good . Found a nice long one that went across an old abandoned railway line but when we got there it was fenced off .

I know its probably Sacrilege to admit on this site but I don;t own a landy anymore ( preparing for the boos lol ) when the range rover went bang I bought a rather old and battered SWB landcruiser , but if you dont mind a non landy tagging along when you organise your trip please let me know

The lane in fernaux pelham is called Violets lane. It's actually a river bed but blinding for a bit of laning. If you leave Hitchin on the B655?? The road to barton and take the left into carters lane (wibbly wobbly lane) go to the bottom and straight ahead of you (over the A505) is the entrance to a lane about half mile up the lane you reach a cross roads all 3 lanes are good fun but can't rmember where any take you out to.

The right fork takes you to Great Offley.

Anybody up for a bit of laning on Sunday 8th. Thinking of maybe Grafham Water or Hatfield across to Broxbourne.

Probably go back to Whaddon next. Devils Pit, although on my doorstep, at the moment it's too wet to get around properly and the clean up job after is horrendous. Whaddon is just plain mud rather than the concrete at the pit.
Lanes: I want to do the one's up around Hitchin, done a couple of them but the other one's looked too scary to do on my own. Doable I think, but I would want someone else along in case I got stuck.
Any ideas Tiki?

how could i find these lanes near hitchin?

I've done the left fork, but can't remember where it comes out. Straight ahead isn't a byway I think.

Straight ahead and left are both highways. Ahead goes along the edge of a farmer's field and comes out on the road toward kimpton (drove it with Phil)

Didn't drive the left fork but I don't think it is anything exciting.
